Sue has had an extensive career in media, working as a freelance writer for multiple nationally distributed publications. Additionally, she is the founder and editor-in-chief of SABLE Magazine, where she led the publication for eight years. During her tenure, she focused on creating content that celebrated diversity and promoted social justice. Her editorial expertise also shines in the anthology At the Table: Words of Faith, Affirmation, and Inspiration for LGBT Believers of Color, offering solace and solidarity to those marginalized within spiritual communities., where she served for eight years, providing a platform for diverse voices and stories for women of color. She is the visionary force behind the acclaimed INSPIRE! podcast, which she launched while attending media school, aiming to uplift and empower audiences globally.

As an Associate Pastor at Rivers of Living Water Ministries, UCC, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Vanessa M. Brown, and as the National Minister of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for The Fellowship of Affirming Ministries (TFAM) led by Presiding Prelate Bishop Yvette A. Flunder, Sue embodies the principles of radical inclusivity and faith. Her commitment extends beyond the pulpit, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and creating affirming spaces within religious communities.

In addition to her pastoral and editorial accomplishments, Sue is deeply involved in community service. She serves on the board of the LGBT Faith Leaders of African Descent and Parity, and is an advisory committee member of the Murray Rustin Social Justice Institute of the Samuel Dewitt Proctor Conference, initiatives designed to foster dialogue and inclusivity in faith-based contexts.

Under her Kara Solutions brand, established in 2020, Sue has provided essential administrative, production, and technical services to individuals, faith-based, and community organizations adapting to digital platforms. Kara Solutions also specializes in graphic design, web design, and social media management, bringing comprehensive digital solutions to a diverse clientele. With over 20 years of administrative experience working alongside C-level executives, Sue brings a wealth of expertise and meticulous attention to detail to every project.
